40 new sites added to NHS Open Space booking platform

Kajima’s partnership with NHS Property Services’ (NHSPS) to develop the NHS Open Space booking platform has welcomed 40 new sites to the service. The expansion will provide an increased level of choice for health and wellbeing providers, offering both clinical and non-clinical spaces for hire on an hourly or daily basis at an affordable price.

The expansion provides opportunity for the platform to grow the community of over 2,900 unique users, using the booking system to ensure NHS spaces are utilised to their full potential and offer communities a wide range of services from their local NHS hubs. NHS Open Space has allowed for excellent patient care and solid solutions to long-term plans on NHS spaces.

Chris Smith, Head of Community at Kajima said: “The ability for medical practitioners and the community to be able to search, book and pay for clinical and non-clinical space is a real first for the healthcare industry. Our team of developers have worked closely with NHS PS over the last few years, to help them implement such an innovative and flexible software which can now be rolled out further across the sector.”
